Connect an AI app
Let Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or any MCP app search your board, look at your saved pictures and clips, and add notes and ideas. Your own Claude or ChatGPT plan pays for it. Add the address below, then sign in to OddBoard and approve the app.
Your board's MCP address
Everyone uses this same address, so you can share it. Each app signs in separately, and you can disconnect any of them from Account → Connected AI apps on your board.
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
- Open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name it OddBoard and paste the address above. Leave Advanced settings (client ID and secret) empty.
- Click Connect, sign in to OddBoard and click Allow.
- In a chat, turn on OddBoard in the tools menu and ask, for example, "give me 5 video ideas from my board".
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Click Create, paste the address above and choose Authentication: OAuth.
- Sign in to OddBoard when ChatGPT asks, and click Allow.
Claude Code
- Run this in a terminal:
- In Claude Code, type
/mcp, pick oddboard and choose Authenticate. - Your browser opens. Sign in to OddBoard and click Allow.
Codex
- Add this to
~/.codex/config.toml: - Sign in from a terminal:
codex mcp login oddboard
- Your browser opens. Sign in to OddBoard and click Allow.
Apps without OAuth (scripts, servers, CI)
- On your board, open Account → Connected AI apps → Access keys and create a key. Tick Read only if the app shouldn't change anything.
- Have the app send the key with every request to the address above:
Authorization: Bearer obp_…
In Codex, for example, add bearer_token_env_var = "ODDBOARD_KEY" under [mcp_servers.oddboard] and put
the key in the ODDBOARD_KEY environment variable. Treat a key like a password: anyone who has it can use your board.
